About
Hi! I'm Alaina, a senior fashion student at Drexel University. I discovered my love for fashion during my gap year before my freshman year of college. With so much extra time on my hands due to the pandemic, I taught myself the basics of sewing and patternmaking. My experience during my gap year confirmed to me that fashion design was my ideal field of study, and I promptly changed my major (which, at the time of my gap year, was biomedical engineering).
Through my time at Drexel, I have broadened my knowledge of the field and discovered more focused areas of design that interest me. I love knitting, both by hand and machine, and adore making dresses. I also enjoy the more technical aspects of design, like patternmaking and creating tech flats.
